The Scholarship Committee duties are as follows:
Responsible for the yearly applicant review, distribution, and verification that scholarship funds are awarded according to the established guidelines.
Make applications available to potential scholarship applicants.
Review all applicants in accordance with established guidelines for choosing the scholarship recipient(s). Contact scholarship recipient(s) and invite them to be present at the membership meeting to receive the award.
Submit a committee report at the end of each year to the president.
Money is earned through volunteers working Rodeo Concession Stand, and such projects as needed for the scholarship fund. A written list of the scholarship recipients will be submitted at the June Board meeting.
SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION INFORMATION BELOW
Students, both traditional and non traditional enrolling in at least 12 credit hours per semester in an accredited post secondary institution.
Include a copy of transcript. This will be high school for Seniors or College if already attending college.
Include 2 current letters of recommendation. One should be from academic life and one personal. If in college, one should be related to your college experience.
Include a one page personal essay about yourself and how you may eventually give back to your community. This should be information that is not in the resume.
Include a resume of activities, honors, volunteer and work experience.
Complete all sections on the application.
Assemble as a loose-leaf document. No binders, staples,etc.

Application Deadline
Deadline: Must be postmarked by April 15. Apply as early as possible. Applications postmarked after the deadline will not be considered.
Selection process: Notification will be sent to those receiving awards on or before June 1.
